- Our Purpose
The Sayers Players Drama Society exists to proclaim the lordship of Jesus Christ by producing quality, thought-provoking drama.
- Our Ethos: Truth. Delight. Wonder.
In light of the Great Storyteller and His Story, we see the concept of story as integral to the human existence. Since we are created in the Storyteller’s image, we naturally gravitate toward narrative. Neither the time period nor culture makes a real difference: we all love a well-told story.
Thus, whether it ranges from our adaptions of classic works to our original works, The Sayers Players aim to stage great stories, stories that reveal truth, invoke delight, and stir wonder. In so doing, we invite our audience to partake with us in the creativity of our Author.
- Our Gatherings
Society meetings are the heart of the Sayers Players’ experience. They take place every Friday from 3:45 – 6:30pm. These gatherings serve as the training ground for our yearly performances and provide the Players the opportunity to develop skills in acting, improv, public speaking, stagecraft, wardrobe, and playwriting. Depending on the time of the year meetings focus on acting games, scene studies, or production rehearsals.

Student Leadership Team
The Sayers Players Drama Society incorporates a team of student leaders who coach newer students and oversee various aspects of the program such as directing, writing, casting, promotions, and set design. These students are mature, talented actors and actresses who have been a part of the program for at least one year.
